Common Questions
About LedgerSwap

What is LedgerSwap? +
LedgerSwap is a decentralized finance (DeFi) aggregator and swap protocol operating across all major EVM-compatible blockchains. It enables users to swap tokens, stake for yield, provide liquidity, bridge assets cross-chain, and execute advanced orders — all non-custodially from your own wallet, with no KYC or registration required.
How do I swap tokens on LedgerSwap? +
To swap: (1) Click "Launch App" and connect your EVM wallet (MetaMask, WalletConnect, Coinbase Wallet, etc.), (2) Select your input token, (3) Choose your output token, (4) Enter the amount, (5) Review the route and estimated fees, then (6) Confirm the transaction in your wallet. LedgerSwap auto-routes across 15+ DEXes to find the best execution price on every swap.
What EVM networks does LedgerSwap support? +
LedgerSwap currently supports 11 EVM-compatible networks: Ethereum Mainnet, BNB Chain (BSC), Polygon, Arbitrum One, Optimism, Base, Avalanche C-Chain, Fantom, zkSync Era, Linea, and Scroll. New chains are added through DAO governance. All networks share the same contract standards for seamless interoperability.
What are LedgerSwap's fees? +
LedgerSwap charges a flat 0.04% protocol fee on all token swaps — among the lowest in DeFi. Liquidity providers earn 0.03% of every swap in their pool. Bridging costs 0.1% of the transfer amount. Staking carries no protocol fee. Standard blockchain gas fees also apply per network, with L2 chains (Arbitrum, Base, Optimism) costing just cents per transaction.
Is LedgerSwap safe to use? +
Yes. LedgerSwap is fully non-custodial (you control your keys at all times), audited by Trail of Bits, CertiK, PeckShield, and Hacken, operates a $3M bug bounty on Immunefi, and enforces a 48-hour timelock on all upgrades. Over $3.1B in cumulative swap volume with zero security incidents. As with all DeFi, smart contract risk exists — never invest more than you can afford to hold.
What is DEX aggregation and why does it matter? +
DEX aggregation means LedgerSwap scans liquidity across multiple decentralized exchanges simultaneously — Uniswap, Curve, Balancer, SushiSwap, Camelot, and 10+ more — to find the path that gives you the most tokens for your money after fees. For large trades, aggregation can save 0.5–2% compared to using a single DEX, which adds up significantly over time.
How does staking work on LedgerSwap? +
LedgerSwap staking lets you deposit supported tokens into on-chain staking contracts and earn yield. Choose lock periods from 7 days (flexible) up to 12 months (maximum yield). Rewards accrue in the staked token and can be claimed at any time or left to compound. Current yields range from 5–12% APY depending on token and lock period. Staking is non-custodial — your tokens remain on-chain under your control.
What liquidity pools are available on LedgerSwap? +
LedgerSwap offers pools including ETH/USDT (9.8% APY), ETH/USDC (9.4% APY), WBTC/ETH (8.6% APY), ETH/DAI (8.9% APY), and many token-specific pairs. Liquidity providers earn 0.03% of every swap proportional to their share. LedgerSwap also supports concentrated liquidity positions for capital-efficient LP strategies, and includes IL (impermanent loss) protection on select pools.
How does the cross-chain bridge work? +
To bridge tokens: connect your wallet, open the Bridge tab, select source and destination chains, choose the token and amount, then confirm. LedgerSwap's bridge uses MPC (Multi-Party Computation) technology with 15+ validator nodes to verify and relay the cross-chain message securely. Average bridge completion time is under 90 seconds. A 0.1% bridge fee covers validator incentives and destination gas.
What wallet do I need to use LedgerSwap? +
Any EVM-compatible Web3 wallet works: MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, Rabby, Rainbow, WalletConnect-compatible wallets, and hardware wallets (Ledger, Trezor) via browser extension. Your wallet must be configured on a supported EVM network. We recommend MetaMask or Rabby for desktop and Trust Wallet or Rainbow for mobile.
Does LedgerSwap have MEV protection? +
Yes. LedgerSwap routes all swap transactions through Flashbots Protect and private RPC endpoints by default, preventing front-running, sandwich attacks, and other MEV extraction. This protection is especially critical for large swaps where MEV bots could otherwise extract significant value from your trade. MEV protection is always-on for swaps over $5,000 USD equivalent.
How does LedgerSwap compare to Uniswap? +
LedgerSwap is an aggregator that includes Uniswap as one of its liquidity sources, not a competitor. Key advantages over using Uniswap directly: (1) Best price across 15+ DEXes, not just Uniswap pools, (2) MEV protection built-in, (3) Cross-chain bridging in one interface, (4) Advanced order types (limit, DCA, TWAP), (5) Staking and yield vaults, (6) Lower effective fee (0.04% vs 0.3%) thanks to aggregation.
What is the Yield Vault on LedgerSwap? +
Yield Vaults are automated yield optimizers that deposit your tokens into the highest-yielding strategy available (staking + LP combined), auto-harvest and compound all earned rewards, and rebalance positions to maximize APY. Current vault APY reaches 15.2%. Ideal for long-term holders who want hands-off maximum yield without actively managing positions.
Does LedgerSwap support hardware wallets? +
Yes. LedgerSwap fully supports hardware wallets including Ledger Nano X/S+, Trezor Model T, and GridPlus Lattice1 via MetaMask or WalletConnect V2. All swap, stake, and bridge transactions are signed directly on your hardware device for maximum security. We recommend hardware wallets for holdings above $10,000 in value.
How does LedgerSwap's price oracle work? +
LedgerSwap uses Chainlink decentralized price feeds for accurate, manipulation-resistant token pricing. Chainlink aggregates data from multiple premium data providers across 15+ nodes, updating on-chain in real-time. These feeds are used for swap rate calculations, collateral valuation, and vault strategy allocation. If execution price deviates more than 0.3% from the oracle price, a warning is displayed before confirmation.
Is LedgerSwap available on mobile? +
Yes. LedgerSwap works on mobile via WalletConnect — open the dApp in your mobile wallet's built-in browser (MetaMask Mobile, Trust Wallet, Rainbow) or scan the WalletConnect QR code from desktop. The interface is fully responsive. A native iOS and Android app is on the roadmap for Q4 2025.
What is slippage tolerance and how should I set it? +
Slippage tolerance is the maximum price movement you'll accept between submitting and executing a swap. LedgerSwap defaults to 0.5% auto, which suits most trades. For small, liquid pairs (ETH/USDT), 0.1% is fine. For less liquid tokens or large trades, you may need 1–2%. LedgerSwap's smart routing minimizes price impact by splitting large orders across multiple pools, reducing the need for high slippage settings.
What is impermanent loss in liquidity pools? +
Impermanent loss (IL) occurs when the price ratio of pooled assets changes after you deposit, leaving you with less value than if you'd simply held the tokens. LedgerSwap mitigates IL through: concentrated liquidity ranges (reducing exposure to extreme price moves), trading fee revenue that offsets IL over time, and IL protection insurance on select pools for positions held longer than 30 days. IL is zero for stablecoin/stablecoin pools.
Does LedgerSwap support limit orders? +
Yes. The LedgerSwap Exchange tab supports limit orders — set a target price and your swap executes automatically when the market hits it. Limit orders are stored on-chain, fulfilled by keeper bots, and can be cancelled anytime. This enables strategic accumulation at dip prices or exit strategies at targets, all without trusting a centralized exchange with your assets.
What is DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) on LedgerSwap? +
LedgerSwap's DCA feature lets you automatically buy or sell tokens in fixed amounts on a recurring schedule (daily, weekly, monthly). For example: buy $200 of ETH every week using USDT from your wallet. DCA orders are fully on-chain, non-custodial, and cancellable at any time. Ideal for long-term accumulation strategies without needing to time the market.
What happens if my swap transaction fails? +
If a swap fails (due to slippage exceeded, gas issues, or network congestion), your tokens are returned to your wallet and only the gas fee is consumed. LedgerSwap uses optimistic execution with pre-execution safety checks to minimize failure rates. If your swap failed due to slippage, try increasing the slippage tolerance in settings, or breaking large swaps into smaller portions to reduce price impact.
How do I track my portfolio on LedgerSwap? +
LedgerSwap's Portfolio dashboard aggregates your token balances, staking positions, LP shares, and vault deposits across all connected EVM wallets and supported chains — all in one unified USD view. Data is powered by The Graph protocol indexing all LedgerSwap contracts. You can also export full transaction history as CSV for tax reporting with tools like Koinly or CoinTracker.
Are LedgerSwap transactions taxable? +
Tax treatment varies by jurisdiction. In most countries, token swaps are treated as asset disposals (potential capital gains), while staking rewards may be income. LedgerSwap does not provide tax advice — consult a qualified crypto tax professional. Use LedgerSwap's CSV export feature to generate reports compatible with Koinly, CoinTracker, TaxBit, and other DeFi tax platforms.
Is LedgerSwap fully decentralized? +
Yes. LedgerSwap's core swap and staking contracts are fully decentralized and non-custodial — no admin keys can access user funds, and all upgrades require a 48-hour timelock plus DAO governance vote. The front-end is hosted on decentralized infrastructure (IPFS). Price feeds come from Chainlink decentralized oracles. The bridge uses a decentralized MPC validator network. Every critical component is verifiable on-chain.
What is the minimum swap amount on LedgerSwap? +
There is no protocol minimum. On Ethereum mainnet, we recommend at least $50 in value per swap so gas fees remain a small fraction. On L2s (Arbitrum, Base, Optimism), gas costs just cents so micro-swaps of any size are cost-effective. There is no maximum swap limit, though very large trades benefit from being split into smaller chunks across multiple routes to minimize price impact.
How does LedgerSwap handle gasless swaps? +
On supported L2 networks, LedgerSwap offers gasless meta-transactions — your swap fee covers the gas cost, so you don't need ETH or the native gas token in your wallet. The gas cost is deducted from your input token at a small markup. This is especially useful for new users who hold USDT or other ERC-20 tokens but don't yet have ETH for gas, eliminating the chicken-and-egg problem of DeFi onboarding.
How do I withdraw from staking on LedgerSwap? +
To unstake: open the Stake tab, select your active position, and click "Unstake." Flexible (7-day) positions can be withdrawn after the lock period with no penalty. Fixed-term positions require waiting until expiry or paying an early withdrawal fee (2–5% depending on remaining lock time). Unstaked tokens plus all accrued rewards are returned to your wallet in a single on-chain transaction.
Does LedgerSwap have a referral program? +
Yes. LedgerSwap's referral program lets you earn 20% of protocol fees from users you refer. Each referral link is tied to your wallet address, and earnings accumulate on-chain and can be claimed at any time. Referral dashboards with detailed analytics are accessible after connecting your wallet in the Earn section. Top referrers also receive bonus governance token allocations each quarter.
What is LedgerSwap's governance token? +
LedgerSwap uses a native governance token for on-chain protocol governance. Token holders vote on fee tier adjustments, new chain integrations, smart contract upgrades, treasury spending, and liquidity mining incentive programs. Governance tokens are earned by providing liquidity, staking, or through community grants. All governance proposals and votes are transparent and on-chain.
Does LedgerSwap support TWAP orders? +
Yes. TWAP (Time-Weighted Average Price) orders allow you to execute a large trade in smaller increments over a defined time period to minimize market impact. For example, sell $500,000 in ETH over 24 hours in 100 equal chunks every 14.4 minutes. TWAP orders are fully on-chain and are ideal for large institutional-scale trades where a single swap would cause significant price slippage.
What tokens can I swap on LedgerSwap? +
LedgerSwap supports any ERC-20 and EVM-native token with on-chain liquidity across our supported DEXes. This includes all major tokens (ETH, USDT, USDC, WBTC, BNB, MATIC, DAI, LINK, UNI, AAVE, etc.), staking derivatives (stETH, rETH, cbETH), and thousands of long-tail DeFi tokens. If a token has liquidity on a supported DEX on a supported chain, you can swap it on LedgerSwap.
How does LedgerSwap protect against rug pulls? +
LedgerSwap eliminates rug vectors through: (1) No admin keys capable of draining user funds, (2) 48-hour timelock on all upgrades preventing emergency malicious changes, (3) DAO multi-sig governance requiring broad consensus, (4) Fully open-source, verified contracts on all block explorers, (5) Multiple independent security audits. All pool liquidity is owned by LPs and can be withdrawn permissionlessly at any time.
How does LedgerSwap handle token approvals? +
LedgerSwap uses Permit2 (EIP-2612) where supported, allowing gas-efficient approvals that don't require separate approval transactions. For tokens without Permit2, a standard ERC-20 approval is required before your first swap with that token. We recommend setting exact (not unlimited) approval amounts for security. You can revoke existing approvals anytime via your wallet or tools like Revoke.cash.
Does LedgerSwap offer IL (impermanent loss) protection? +
Yes, select LedgerSwap pools offer IL protection for liquidity positions held longer than 30 days. If your LP position's value at withdrawal is less than what you deposited (adjusted for price), the protocol compensates the shortfall up to a maximum of 2.5% from the insurance reserve. IL protection is funded by a portion of protocol fees and applies to ETH/USDT, ETH/USDC, and ETH/WBTC pools.
Can I use LedgerSwap without connecting a wallet? +
Yes — you can browse LedgerSwap, view live swap quotes, check token prices, review pool APYs, and read protocol stats without connecting a wallet. To actually execute swaps, stake, or provide liquidity you need to connect. The "read-only" mode is useful for comparing LedgerSwap rates against other DEXes before committing to a trade.
How long does cross-chain bridging take on LedgerSwap? +
Most LedgerSwap bridges complete in under 90 seconds for EVM-to-EVM transfers. Ethereum to Arbitrum or Base is typically 45–75 seconds. Bridges involving Ethereum mainnet as destination can take 7–10 minutes due to block finality requirements. During high network congestion, times can extend to 5–15 minutes. Live bridge status is trackable in the Bridge tab with real-time confirmation updates.
What makes LedgerSwap different from other DEX aggregators? +
LedgerSwap differentiates through: (1) Broadest chain coverage — 11 EVM chains in one interface, (2) Integrated staking and vaults alongside swapping, (3) Native cross-chain bridge without third-party redirects, (4) Advanced order types (limit, DCA, TWAP, stop-loss) fully on-chain, (5) Always-on MEV protection, (6) Gasless swaps on L2, (7) IL protection in select pools, (8) Institutional-grade 4-firm audit history.
Is there a LedgerSwap token airdrop? +
LedgerSwap has announced a governance token distribution program rewarding early users. Points accrue based on swap volume, liquidity provided, and protocol engagement. The snapshot criteria and distribution date will be announced via official Discord and Twitter channels. To maximize eligibility: swap regularly, provide liquidity in core pools, and stake tokens. Always verify announcements through official channels only — beware of scams impersonating LedgerSwap.
How do I contact LedgerSwap support? +
LedgerSwap support is available via: Discord (fastest — community + core team active 24/7), Telegram official group @LedgerSwapOfficial, Twitter/X @LedgerSwap for announcements and news, and support@ledgerswap.org for private or sensitive inquiries. For vulnerability reports, use the Immunefi bug bounty portal. For governance, visit the LedgerSwap DAO forum. Typical response time is under 4 hours on business days.
